The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority Head Oleksandr Semyryha held a meeting with Serhiy Gupyak, Deputy Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention. They discussed further steps to develop anti-corruption mechanisms in The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority ’s activities and to implement digital solutions that reduce corruption risks and increase transparency in the port sector.
“A significant milestone will be the implementation of an ERP system that will transition the enterprise’s work to a digital format and make processes more efficient and controllable. The launch of DocPort is another key step toward transparency: it simplifies logistics, saves time for shipowners, and minimizes corruption risks,” said The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority head Oleksandr Semyrha.
“The National Agency is developing best practices and mechanisms to prevent corruption risks in enterprises. We are ready to provide all necessary methodological and coordinative support to minimize corruption risks in The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority ’s activities. Your experience is important to us, and we are ready to scale it,” emphasized Serhiy Gupyak.
In particular, The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority recalled that it is implementing a comprehensive anti-corruption program.
“The enterprise is improving internal procedures, providing staff training on financial control, compliance, and anti-corruption management. In cooperation with the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), a risk management, monitoring, and procurement-effectiveness assessment system has been introduced. Internal audits are conducted in high-risk areas, participants and partners are checked, and an anonymous reporting mechanism for possible corruption cases is in place,” the statement says.
