Loading of sugar beet pellet pulp onto the vessel Ak Beauty

The vessel with DWT 6,000 tons was loaded with sugar beet  pellet pulp at the port of Chornomorsk at an intensity of 5,000 tons per day.

Sugar beet pulp is widely used in agriculture and is one of the few types of cargo exported from our country during the war.

To ensure rapid loading of the vessel AK Beauty with sugar beet pellet at the port of Chornomorsk, a decision was made to involve a mobile loading complex at berth No. 6.

Cargo was transported from the storage site by dump trucks to the weighbridge, where weight control was carried out. Ukrstar-Group LLC fully ensured the determination of cargo weight in accordance with VGM rules and international conventions. After weighing the trucks proceeded to the self-propelled mobile conveyor unloader where unloading took only 3 to 4.5 minutes per truck.

The prepared cargo flow was transferred to a telescopic mobile conveyor-loader. Through a fully enclosed conveyor and flexible hose, the cargo was fed directly into the ship’s hold. The technological line of the complex, designed by the terminal, minimizes dust and spillage and can operate even in the absence of electricity — thanks to generators.

The productivity of the complex ranges from 350 to 600 tons per hour, depending on the specifics of the ship’s holds and the schedule of vehicle supply. The mobility of the complex allows for quick (up to 40 minutes) repositioning on the hold with full adjustment.

One of the main responsibilities of the port forwarder is to prepare the complete package of shipping documentation and handle customs clearance. It is also essential to conduct examinations and certifications involving customs, veterinary, quarantine, sanitary, and other authorities to obtain the necessary documents.
