The administration of the Sulina Channel has released the tariffs for 2026 for passage
This was reported by Avalon Shipping’s operations manager Kateryna Kononenko.
According to her, in 2026 the tariff for passing ships through the Sulin Channel will change: in particular, cargo passage will become cheaper, while ballast passage will become more expensive. The new tariff will be:
One passage with cargo — 1.98 dollars per DWT ton.
One ballast passage — 0.77 dollars per DWT ton.
As Kononenko notes, for comparison, in 2025 these were 2.04 and 0.57 dollars per DWT ton, respectively.
“However, the overall trend is tariff increases. For comparison, the entry/exit (ballast/cargo) in 2025 was 2.61, and in 2026 it will be 2.76 dollars per DWT ton. For a vessel with a deadweight of 5,000 tons, that means an additional 300–400 dollars to the PDA,” the expert summarized.
